Description

Store number 445.A file containing 22 photographs depicting the F W Woolworth and Co store in Wrexham. Known as Woolworths store number 445, this was the four-hundred and forty-fifth branch of Woolworths to open in the British Isles, in 1931. The store originally opened at 56 Hope Street and later expanded to 56-58 Hope Street. It moved to a purpose-built store at 10 Regent Street in 1970. The store closed in January 2009.
