Description

A file containing 15 photograph depicting the F W Woolworth and Co store on the High Street, Dorking. Known as Woolworths store number 453, this was the four-hundred and fifty-third branch of Woolworths to open in the British Isles, in 1931. In the 1960s or 1970s, the store was extended from 145-147 High Street to include the premises at 149-153 High Street. It was later reduced to its original size in the late 1980s or 1990s.
