Description

A file containing 1 photograph depicting the F W Woolworth and Co store on Stockport Road, Longsight. Known as Woolworths store number 481, this was the four-hundred and eighty-first branch of Woolworths to open in the British Isles, in 1932. The premises were originally probably numbered 639-641 Stockport Road but had been renumbered as 575-577 Stockport Road by 1983, when the store closed.
