Description

A file containing 11 photographs depicting the F W Woolworth and Co store on Maidenhead Street, Hertford. Known as Woolworths store number 590, this was the five-hundred and ninetieth branch of Woolworths to open in the British Isles, in 1934. The store originally opened at 16 Maidenhead Street and later expanded into 18 Maidenhead Street. It closed in December 2008.
