Description

A file containing 37 photographs depicting the F W Woolworth and Co store on Fore Street, Brixham. Known as Woolworths store number 691, this was the six-hundred and ninety-first branch of Woolworths to open in the British Isles, in 1937. The store originally opened at small premises on Fore Street. In 1969 the store and neighbouring buildings were demolished, and the store was extended to occupy 18-22 Fore Street. This store closed in October 2008.
