Description

A file containing 14 photographs depicting the F W Woolworth and Co store on Bristol Road South, Northfield, Birmingham. Known as Woolworths store number 749, this was the seven-hundred and forty-ninth branch of Woolworths to open in the British Isles, in 1939. The store originally opened at 750 Bristol Road South but in 1968 it moved to larger premises at 804-814 Bristol Road South. This store closed in December 2008.
