Description

A file containing 8 photographs depicting the F W Woolworth and Co store on Shenley Road, Borehamwood. Known as Woolworths store number 799, this was the seven-hundred and ninety-ninth branch of Woolworths to open in the British Isles, in 1953. Woolworths originally opened at 116-118 Shenley Road but in the late 1950s the store moved to 137-141 Shenley Road. This store closed in December 2008.
