Description

A file containing 1 photograph depicting the F W Woolworth and Co store on Portsmouth Road, Pennywell, Sunderland. Known as Woolworths store number 817, this was the eight-hundred and seventeenth branch of Woolworths to open in the British Isles, in 1953. This store had closed by 1995. The parade of shops was later demolished and replaced by housing.
