Description

A file containing 8 photographs depicting the F W Woolworth and Co store on Front Street, Stanley. Known as Woolworths store number 873, this was the eight-hundred and seventy-third branch of Woolworths to open in the British Isles, in 1955. The store originally occupied 70-76 Front Street but by 1972 had expanded to include number 68 Front Street. This store closed between 1995 and 2008.
