Description

A file containing 5 photographs depicting the F W Woolworth and Co store on Palatine Road, Northenden, Manchester. Known as Woolworths store number 917, this was the nine-hundred and seventeenth branch of Woolworths to open in the British Isles, in 1956. The store opened at 24 Northenden Parade, Palatine Road in 1956. The premises had been renumbered as 342 Palatine Road by 1972. This store closed in January 2009.
