A file containing 50 photographs depicting the F W Woolworth and Co store in the Market Square, Biggleswade. Known as Woolworths store number 978, this was the nine-hundred and seventy-eighth branch of Woolworths to open in the British Isles, in 1957. The store originally opened at 12-13 Market Square, but was probably later extended as by 1972 the address was listed as 11-13 Market Square. This store closed in December 2008.
