Description

One reconstruction drawing and twelve general illustrations depicting structures and horticulture from Belsay Hall, Castle and Gardens, produced for reproduction in site guidebooks and other publications and/or on information panels placed at the sites themselves. Additionally, there is one watercolour map of the general area to the north-west of Newcastle Upon Tyne, with the sites of Belsey Hall, Castle and Gardens, Prudoe Castle and Aydon Castle marked in pen. The illustrations include a number of black and white illustrations of plants found in the gardens. Illustrators whose work is represented include Terry Ball, Stephen Conlin, Miles Daniel and Liam Wales.

There are also two black and white and two colour preliminary sketches, created by Terry Ball. These have not been catalogued at item level.
