Description

Ten reconstruction illustrations, one drawing and one sheet of general illustrations depicting Brougham Castle and Brough Castle throughout the history of the sites (also including a reconstruction of the Roman burial ground at Brougham). The drawings were created between 1996 and 2006 by various illustrators, and were largely used in English Heritage's series of guidebooks for the sites, with the exception of the reconstruction artwork depicting a funerary procession at the cemetery associated with Brougham Roman Fort.

There are also seven black and white preliminary sketches, created by Peter Dunn. These have not been catalogued at item level.
