Description

Thirteen reconstruction illustrations, one general illustration and one orientation illustration depicting Conisbrough Castle, likely to have been produced for reproduction in site guidebooks and other publications and/or on information panels placed at the sites themselves.

This group of illustrations largely consists of interiors, detail exteriors and scenes showing people engaged in activities at the site, but there is also a cut-away reconstruction of the Tower Keep and an aerial reconstruction. Works of illustrators Peter Edwards, Peter Forster and Alan Sorrell are held in this set. Finally, an aerial view of the site in the present day was created in 2014 by Liam Wales, for inclusion in a new site guidebook.
