Description

Sixteen reconstruction illustrations and one general illustration created for the English Heritage publication 'Bronze Age Britain', by Michael Parker Pearson, published in 1993, and for subsequent publications and press releases relating to the subject.

Thirteen of the drawings were created circa 1990-1993 and are featured in the above publication. They cover a range of subjects, depicting Neolithic and Bronze Age ceramics, various sites and ceremonies. Twelve of these drawings are by Peter Dunn, with a further drawing by Miranda Schofield.

There are a further four reconstructions created by illustrator Judith Dobie between 2000 and 2005, depicting scenes from Mucking Saxon cemetery, Anneline's Hole Neolithic cave burial and the Ferriby Bronze Age boats. These four illustrations were all created to accompany press releases from the English Heritage Press Office.

There are also seven black and white preliminary sketches, and additional backup material, created by Peter Dunn. These have not been catalogued at item level.
