Description

Eleven reconstruction illustrations depicting exterior and interior views of Launceston Castle throughout its history, created between 1984 and 1994 by illustrators Terry Ball and Peter Dunn for inclusion in English Heritage site guidebooks and as part of on-site interpretation. Also, two illustrations (IC057/012) depicting the 13th century seal of Richard, 1st Earl of Cornwall and reproduced in the publication 'Three Shell Keeps: Launceston, Restormel, Totnes' by D F Renn (1969). There are eight reconstruction artworks by Peter Dunn, created in 1994 and depicting exterior and interio views of the castle throughout the eleventh to fourteenth centuries. There are three aerial reconstruction illustrations by Terry Ball, created in 1984 and showing three phases of development of the site between the eleventh and thirteenth centuries.
