Seven reconstruction illustrations and three general illustrations depicting Dartmouth Castle and its component buildings, created between circa 1982 and circa 2005 by various illustrators, largely for inclusion in English Heritage guidebooks for the site.
The folder includes three cut-away reconstruction illustrations of gun batteries by Graham Holme, created circa 1982-3. There are two drawings by Ivan Lapper; one a reconstruction illustration showing the process of firing a canon and the other an aerial orientation view. There is a series of four aerial illustrations of the site created by Peter Dunn in 1999-2000, showing the castle through its history between 1400 and the present day. There is a present-day aerial orientation view of the castle created by Liam Wales in 2013.
There are also two black and white preliminary sketches and some additional backup material, created by Peter Dunn. These have not been catalogued at item level.
There are three born digital reconstruction drawings showing Dartmouth Castle as it may have looked when it was first built in the late 14th century and in the 16th century.
