Description

Two illustrations, believed to have been commissed for at least one, or possibly two, publications by Christopher Norton. The drawings, both by Judith Dobie, show the front and sides of The Doomstone, a 12th century limestone relief depicting hell. Photographs DP056264 - DP056272 are of the artist creating these drawings.

Also, ten reconstruction illustrations showing interior and exterior views of York Minster as it may have appeared at different dates between c1070 and the mid-13th century. These were created by Allan T Adams and Rachel M Cross.
