Description

Nine illustrations produced by illustrator Judith Dobie in late 2010, commissioned for reproduction in the publication 'England's Shipwreck Heritage: From Logboats to U-Boats', by Serena Cant, published in 2013 by English Heritage.

The illustrations are conjectural 'reconstructions' of maritime events, and not archaeological reconstruction illustrations in the traditional sense of the term. The illustrations depict shipwrecks, wreck looting and vessel construction from prehistory to the medieval period on the English coast or in English waters.

There are also twelve colour preliminary sketches and some additional backup material, created by Judith Dobie. These have not been catalogued at item level.
