Description

Four reconstruction drawings and three general illustrations created for the 1992 publication The English Heritage Book of Castles by Tom McNeil.

The reconstruction drawings show the hall and chamber of Richmond Castle as they may have appeared in the 11th century, a meal being prepared in a medieval castle kitchen and a meal taking place in a typical 13th century great hall.

The general illustrations show a typical turning bridge at a castle gatehouse, a variety of pots and jugs, a longbow man and a crossbow man.
