Description

Twenty-six illustrations, including reconstructed ground plans, of buildings in Manningham, Bradford. They were created by Allan T Adams for the publication ‘Manningham: Character and diversity in a Bradford suburb’ by Simon Taylor and Kathryn Gibson (2010). They include illustrations of back-to-back tunnel houses in the suburb, as well as agricultural workers’ cottages, a mid-19th century villa and The Old Manor House. The series includes both the published watercolour illustrations and the pen and pencil drawings from which they were produced.

There are also a small number of drawings created in July 2011 which show an alternative reconstruction of The Old Manor House as may have appeared in the 17th century.
