Description

Photograph album, labelled 'No. 5', containing 61 black and white prints showing the construction of Sections 1A and 2 of the Bank of England. Images include general views of construction site and details of sub treasury dome, dumpling excavations and trenches, shuttering for entrance hall dome, deep well pumps and views of Soane roof and portico block.

Archival History

Laing Construction took over the London firm of Holloways in 1964. It is presumed that the photograph album was acquired at this point.
