Description

Photograph album labelled 'Houses: Pre-War Private Interior: Pre- War Types London, Mr Carr's Home, Barnet' containing 86 black and white prints showing various different housing types built by John Laing and Sons on their estates.

The various types include: 'Oxford', designed by Miss F. Barker, 'MRA', 'Yeovil' designed by A. W. Keyon, 'Chalet', 'Solway', 'Montrose' from the Edgware Estate dated 20 March 1939, 'Rona', 'Jubilee', 'Anglesey', 'Olympia' from the Edgware Estate dated August 1936, 'Malvern', Newman', 'Coronation', 'Washington', 'Filey' and '2B' from Sunnyfields Estate designed by T. Alwyn Lloyd.

As well as exterior views of these houses there are details of entrance doors from the Enfield West Estate and interior views of the 'Jubilee, 'Elsdale', 'Coronation' show homes and views of the front bedroom, hall and bathroom of houses built at Sudbury, Woodford and Golders Green, and the kitchen from the type 'A' De Luxe house built at Canon's Park.
