'Easiform' was a method of in situ pre-cast concrete construction which John Laing and Son Ltd developed from 1919 onwards. Within the album are views of different types of 'Easiform' housing and details of front entrances and details of pre-stressed concrete joists used in experimental houses at Basingstoke as well as photographs documenting the inspection of Fernside Estate, Huddersfield by A E Marples, Parliamentary Secretary to Ministry of Housing and Local Government, the opening of 2000th house at Bradford, 1000th house at Plymouth (1949), topping out ceremony at Priory Estate, Wellington (1969) and opening of 5000th dwelling at Swindon (1963). There are also images showing Laing managers at work updating programme and progress records and views of the City Housing Manager, City Architect and Senior Agent inspecting housing scheme plans for Bristol (1955).
