Description

Photograph album labelled 'Roads By-Pass : Wheatley By-Pass 2' containing 72 black and white prints showing the construction of various sections of Wheatley Bypass including Sworford Flyover, Wheatley River Bridge, Waterperry Underpass, Vicarage Hill Flyover, Thame slip road, New Thame approach road, Bulmore Culvert and Holton Park cutting. Also included are views showing experimental carriageways, excavation for diversion of GPO services, realignment of old A40 road and scarification of existing A40 prior to making up to new grade to form north carriageway of bypass.
