Description

Photograph album containing 71 black and white prints showing the construction of various sections of the bypass including dual carriageway, western carriageway, Rowley Lane Flyover Bridge, Newark Green, northern roundabout, junction at Dyrham Park and details of 'tractairs' supplied by Holman Brothers Ltd, concrete train, vibratory roller and spreading and rolling of dry lean concrete on experimental road.

There are also ground and oblique aerial views showing the construction of Apex corner including details of construction of subways and sunken garden in island such as coping units being applied to subway ramp, pouring concrete for retaining wall, pile driving, signboard and a photographic copy of the architectural plan.
