Description

Photograph album labelled 'Sewage Works' containing 65 black and white prints showing various projects carried out by Degremont Laing Ltd. Degremont Laing Ltd was formed in 1969 by John Laing Construction Ltd and the French international company, Degremont SA. It became a market leader in water, waste and effluent treatment.

Included are images showing the construction of Hampton Loade water treatment works including details of filters and pulsator clarifiers, extension to Copthorne Sewage Works incorporating the Diapac activated sludge system, and different water treatment systems for British Salt Limited's works at Middlewich and at various sites and for different companies in France, Spain, Portugal, Peru, Germany and Holland.
