Description

Photograph album labelled 'For the Interest of Visitors : Photographs' containing 54 black and white prints as examples of the company's contract work including photographic copies of architectural drawn perspectives of different 1960s schemes such as the Bull Ring Shopping Centre and the Smallbrook development in Birmingham and various office developments in London including hotel and offices at Langham Place and the Euston Road redevelopment scheme. Also included are photographic views of Oxford Eastern Bypass, Coventry Cathedral under construction, completed Cripps Hall for Nottingham University, Farringdon School in Sunderland and the County High School in Nottingham, Polio rehabilitation Centre in Headington, various factories including Wall's, Rowntrees and Cadbury, multi storey flats in Camberwell and Redcliff, Bristol, power stations such as Berkeley and Portishead 'B', RAF hanger at Abingdon, Thames foundry for Ford Motor Company, Royal Ordnance factory at Rankskill, King's Lynn Sugar Silos and ICI's research establishment at Alderley Park. The album also includes examples of the firm's overseas work in British Columbia, Rhodesia and Portuguese East Africa.
