Description

Photograph album containing 44 black and white prints of different contracts showing construction of 'Easiform' housing at Hereford and Port Talbot in circa 1919, Lingfield Park Racecourse Grandstand, warehouse in London, barracks at RAF Spittegate or Spitlegate Grantham, exterior views of completed house and interior view of sitting room for CE Fronde in Watford dating from 1923, construction of Littleton Pumping Station and of housing - the latter possibly built for the Great Western Railway at Hamworth.

'Easiform' was a technique developed from 1919 onwards which involved building houses by casting concrete on site. This became known as ‘Easiform’ in 1924 when it was exhibited at the Palace of Housing at the Wembley British Empire Exhibition.

Due to the fragile nature of the binding and the poor mounting of the photographs, access to this album may be restricted.
