An album of 44 black and white prints showing construction of the 'Birmingham-Preston Motorway', now the M6. The sites featured are believed to all be within Staffordshire.
Aerial views include the Stafford to Wolverhampton Railway Bridge, the Doxley Brook area, the office site at Jacob's Ladder, the headquarters at Clayton near Newcastle-Under-Lyme, the Little Madeley area, the Stafford South junction, the Keele Service area, Walton's Wood , the Stafford Bypass and Cresswell Viaduct, the Eccleshall Road interchange and Trentham Park. Some aerial photographs are marked Aerorfilms and Aeropictorial.
Terrestrial views include Walton's Wood, the A525 and completed stretches of road, as well as grass cutting, roundabouts, slip roads and link roads.
