Description

67 black and white prints mounted on loose album pages showing the 'London - Yorkshire Motorway', now the M1, under construction.

Sites include a bridge over the River Ouse, the River Nene Viaducts, the Toddington and Newport Pagnell service areas under construction, the Blaw Know Batching Plant and the Norton Park Ballast Pit.

The photographs also show activities such as laying the concrete and asphalt bases.
