Box of 16 packets containing 183 prints, 6 negatives, a photocopy, a magazine cutting and a copy of a magazine supplement, comprising:
- publicity photographs from the 1910s to the 1990s, including: a first-world-war print showing a horse-drawn float advertising the company's war savings scheme; a view of vehicles at the 1930 Road Show; 1980s/90s prints showing a safety at work campaign; a children's play area and pond walk; a staff photographer; and men scaling the National Westminster Tower; - views of the company's concrete testing laboratory from the 1950s to the late 1960s or early 1970s; - views of various Laing projects from the 1930s to the 1990s, including: factories in Elstree (late-1930s); a Mulberry Harbour caisson under construction in the early 1940s; St Anthony's Hospital, Cheam (mid-1970s); the Cripps building at Northampton Hospital (1974); refurbishment of the British Standards Institution building in the 1980s/90s; an arch at Liverpool Road Station, Manchester (1990s); Eurotunnel (early-1990s); and Ashford International Station (1996); - views of projects outside of England, including the Spelga Dam, Northern Ireland (mid-1950s); Cardiff Millennium Stadium (late-1990s); load testing for Caernarvonshire & Anglesey Infirmary, Wales (1924); a road, probably in Scotland; a girder bridge, possibly in Wales or Scotland; and overseas work in Canada (1950s); Venezuela (late-1960s); and the Falkland Islands (mid-1980s).
- a print showing bomb-damaged factories in Elstree in the early 1940s.
- formal and informal views of Laing staff outings, courses and sporting events from the 1920s to the 1960s, with related correspondence and ephemera.
