Description

Folder 3 contains 275 colour slides relating to Second World War airfields and related sites. The contents include: images of artefacts relating to Diana Barnato Walker (1918-2008), who was the first British woman to break the sound barrier; RAF Boxted; RAF Duxford; RAF East Wretham; RAF Kings Cliffe; RAF Leiston; RAF Martlesham; relics relating to a crash site; RAF Wormingford; Second World War structures near Shakespeare's Cliff, Dover; RAF Coningsby; Anti-tank barriers (Dragon's Teeth) in Sussex; and 'Airplane Graveyard' in Tuscon Arizona.

Not all of slides have been catalogued in detail.
