Description

Folder 7 contains 205 colour slides relating to Second World War airfields and structures at RAF Hawkinge, RAF Little Waldham, RAF Ludham, RAF Wellingore, RAF Church Fenton, RAF Merston, RAF Hibaldstow, RAF Kirton-in-Lindsey, RAF Tangmere and RAF Linton-on-Ouse. The contents also include a Spitfire restoration at RAF Ludham and museum artefacts taken at the Tangmere Military Aviation Museum. There are also portraits of two people including Charles Neville Overton (1919-1998) taken at RAF Wellingore. A selection of the slides has been catalogued to item level.
