Description

Folder 8 contains 135 colour slides relating to Second World War airfields and structures at RAF Snetterton, RAF Rougham, RAF Bovingdon, RAF Rackheath, RAF Thetford, RAF Framlingham, RAF Lavenham, RAF Grafton, RAF Shipdham, RAF Chelveston, RAF Deenethorpe, RAF Knettishall and Hamburg in Germany (Deutschland). The contents also include uncatalogued images of a timber framed house in Lavenham known as Cordwainers, Rackheath Hall the home of Edward Stracey on whose estate RAF Rackworth was built, a USAAF oxygen mask carton, museum artefacts at Grafton Underwood, wall art at RAF Shipdham and RAF Knettishall, images taken in Hamburg in 1983 and a batch of unlabelled slides showing airfield buildings. A selection of the slides has been catalogued to item level.
