Folder 20 contains 229 colour slides relating to Second World War sites and structures. The majority of the slides were taken at sites in Normandy (Normandie) and France including Merville, Sword Beach, Ranville Cemetery, Pegasus Bridge, La Cambe Cemetery, Pointe du Hoc, Longues-sur-Mer, Omaha Beach, Gold Beach at Arromanches, Brest, Morsalines, Utah Beach, Quineville, Grandcamp-Maisy, Asnelles, Juno Beach and submarine pens in Bordeaux. Photographs taken in England include Eisenhower's HQ buildings at Southwick House and Norfolk House, former RAF airfields at Kings Cliffe, North Weald, Hawkinge, Debden, Croydon, Tangmere and Stapleford Tawney, radar stations at Pevensey and Ventnor, plus gravestones and memorials and a crash site at Abbotsbury. Other slides show portraits of people taken by the photographer, images of Second World War ephemera, a Henry Moore shelter sketch, illustrations and posters. A selection of the slides has been catalogued to item level.
