1350 drawings including documents associated with Sir Harold Brakespear's restoration of the abbey in 1931 following a fire, and work on the Pilgrims Rest restaurant in 1995.
Most groups date from after the site was acquired for the nation in 1976, and cover work by the Department of the Environment and English Heritage, both of which used a range of contractors to undertake electrical, survey, and design work on the site. There are a number of rectified photographic, topographic and photogrammetric surveys of various aspects of the site, and a number of sheets relating to the conversion of the Courthouse, and to the extension of the shop.
Additional sheets of plans of the site date from the late-twentieth century. Around three hundred sheets are related to photogrammetric surveys and hand-drawn measured surveys of the Guesthouse Range, Frater, Dorter and Cellars Range at the Abbey, made between 1994 and 1999 and including sketches and correction overlays along with the finished drawings and annotated copies, with a great many of these drawings created by Kevin J Booth of English Heritage.
Oversized drawings include plans and topographic surveys of the abbey site, three further photogrammetric surveys of the Frater and Monastic Kitchen, and a survey plan of the car park.
