Description

Thirty-two sheets of measured drawings relating to the recording, repair, maintenance and presentation of Burgh Castle in Norfolk, created between 1927 and circa 1983 by the Ministry of Works, the Ministry of Public Buildings and Works and the Department of the Environment.

The earliest nine sheets in the folder, dating from January 1927 until February 1946, are concerned with the recording and stabilisation of a large overhanging portion of the south wall at the site.

There are three sheets dating from the 1960s which show designs for new metal sign posts to be installed at the site.

There are a number of site plans created throughout the mid and late twentieth century, some created for reproduction in guidebooks or for display at the site.
