213 sheets of measured drawings, rectified photographic and photogrammetric drawings, site plans, reconstruction drawings and other material relating to Bishop's Waltham Palace. The drawings range in date from 1909 to April 1998.
A group of six small sheets relate to the excavation of a Bronze Age bell barrow located to the east of the Palace.
A significant number of the drawings relate to the conversion of the Old Dower House, and date from the mid twentieth century. There are also a number of drawings from the 1970s relating to the proposed new works depot at the site, and the proposed new car park.
There are seven sheets of a topographic survey of the site, dating from December 1981, and eight sheets of a photogrammetric survey dating from May 1981 - June 1982. There are a number of measured drawings showing details of the windows in the Dower House from October 1983, there are also several electrical drawings showing services in the Dower House from the 1980s.
From the mid-1980s there are several perspective drawings showing reconstructions of various aspects of the site, several sheets forming a site plan, and a folder of drawings relating to a stonework display. There are also twenty-three sheets of a rectified photographic survey of the north-west boundary wall, dating from December 1997 to March 1998.
The drawings include eleven oversized sheets, consisting of site plans, excavation drawings, photogrammetrically derived cross-sections, and a reconstruction drawing.
