Description

1042 individual items ranging in date from the late 1930s to September 2013, although most date from the 1960s and 70s when much restoration and extension work was completed. The items cover plans of the house and gardens, including planting plans and details of garden ornaments; mechanical details such as extraction ducts; joinery and electrical drawings; drawings of interior decoration such as the frieze in the Blue Velvet Room, exhibition areas including showcases; construction and design drawings of extensions and new build work such as the link building and Visitors' Centre; and drawings of restoration works to the Cascade, Ionic Temple and Inigo Jones gateway.
