257 sheets relating to Eynsford Castle, ranging in date from January 1930 to October 1994, but with the majority of drawings dating largely from the 1980s. The series includes maps, plans, sections, elevations, details and photogrammetry of the site.
There is a large group of sheets relating to the design and construction of a new visitors' centre, ticket office and shop for the site, dating largely from the mid 1980s, with several smaller series within it created by different organisations or at different stages of the project. This series includes a group of drawings created by the Department of the Environment between December 1984 and November 1985, which consists of detailed construction and design drawings for structural elements of the building.
There are also sixty-one sheets relating to various excavations carried out at the castle in the 1960s and early 1980s, including thirty sheets from the 1960s recording the excavation of the moat and moat bridge timbers and twenty-seven sheets created in the early 1980s by the Museum of London's Department of Urban Archaeology recording the extensive excavations of the collapsed north-west curtain wall and the castle mound.
The series also includes a group of nineteen photogrammetric elevations and photogrammetrically-derived cross-sections of the curtain walls of the castle, created between November 1982 and December 1983 by the Photogrammetric Unit at the University of York.
The series includes twenty-two oversized drawings.
