The 167 drawings of the Old Hall date from the 1950s to 1996.
The earliest drawings are from the 1950s and are reproductions of floor plans. Also from the 1950s are some plans and surveys of the roof by the Ministry of Works and Fisher & Hollingsworth Chartered Architects and Surveyors (the latter commissioned by the friends of the Old Hall Association).
There are 7 plans of the 3 floors of the Old Hall by a P. Faulkner from 1962. Fisher, Hollingsworth and Partners made another survey for the friends of the Old Hall association in the late 1960s, producing 5 drawings for renovations to the east wing.
In 1981 and 1982 the Department of the Environment planned consolidation works for the west wing, resulting in 9 drawings.
In 1989 English Heritage commissioned AMC Ltd, Pewsey to complete 3 photogrammetric surveys of elevations of the Dias windows in the great hall. There are 5 electrical drawings made by English Heritage in 1989.
The Department of the Environment commissioned Fisher, Hollingsworth and Partners to conduct a major survey of the building in the early 1980s, producing; 7 drawings of the kitchen windows (1981), 7 drawings of the maids' dormitory (1980 - 1981), 66 drawings of the west wing (1981 - 1983) and 19 drawings of the east wing windows and north wall (1982 - 1983).
There are 14 electrical drawings dating from the 1990s, showing electrical services, distribution and installation in Gainsborough Old Hall.
