Description

This statue was originally sited in Trafalgar Square but was relocated to the Victoria Embankment in 1953, after a move to the Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst had been considered in the late 1940s. Two of the drawings in this set relate to the proposed new site at Sandhurst. There are seven sheets in total, the others are general views of the monument made between 1942 and 1952, and a topographic survey plan from 2007.
