Description

273 measured drawings and maps relating to the management and maintenance of Goodrich Castle from the beginning of the twentieth century. Coverage includes: a general survey of the castle and its well 1923-1924; a scheme of reinforcements to the south-west tower 1924 and further works in 1925-1926; proposed oak bridge, stairs and gallery 1927; a proposed museum 1928; construction drawings for a custodian's hut 1953; survey of the chapel and scheme of restoration work 1956-1958; construction drawings for a custodian's hut 1970; proposals for an access road and car-park 1973; remedial measures to the moat 1977; photogrammetric survey 1981-1982; topographic survey 1981; repairs to the chapel 1984; topographic survey of the car-parks 1993; proposed new shop and toilet 1998 and proposed ticket office 1999; design for a stained-glass window 1999; visitor centre drawings 2005.
