688 measured drawings, rectified photography, photogrammetrically-derived drawings and sketches of the monument in guardianship together with the custodian's huts, public toilets and car park.
Early sheets include condition reports on the curtain wall made between 1938 to 1940 and the conversion of Leicester's Gatehouse between 1938 and 1942.
There are a few early 1950s drawings relating to water supply and electrical services to the custodian's cottage.
From the 1960s are sheets relating to new lavatories; conversion of Leicester's Stables; improvements to the Brays and new works to the Tiltyard Causeway.
There is a survey of Leicester's Stables made between 1972 and 1977 and sheets relating to its interior conversion from 1976 to 1985. Also, there is a record survey of the site from 1973; publication drawings for the official handbook from 1974 to 1976; and drawings of the gardens from 1975 to 1981.
The 1980s saw the production of topographic surveys (1983 and 1989); a photogrammetric survey of the Keep from 1983 to 1988; a survey of the Great Hall from 1988 to 1990 and drawings relating to its new floor and staircase from 1987. There are also a small group of drawings showing the historic phases of Leicester's Barn, from 1989.
There are drawings relating to landscape works and lightning protection from 1990 and 1991; survey sheets and drawings relating to the renovation of Leicester's Gatehouse from between 1991 and 1995; drawings of a new staircase guard rail for Strong Tower from 1992; architects' drawings of the castle and gatehouse from 1993 and proposals for catering facilities for Leicester's Barn from 1997.
Most recently, there are a number of sheets from between 2005 and 2007 which are copies of construction drawings relating to alterations to Leicester's Stables, section plans and ortho-photographic images of Leicester's Building from 2012 and 2013, and survey drawings of the toilet block from 2013.
