Description

364 sheets of measured drawings, measured surveys, photogrammetric surveys, excavation plans and maps of Lanercost Priory. The sheets range in date from 1901 to December 2005.

There are a number of drawings of the clerestory level bridge dating from the early 20th century, and a series of plans of Lanercost Priory from April 1929. There are several sheets from the mid twentieth century showing the custodian's hut and tool shed. There are seven sheets showing the existing and proposed new bridges at Lanercost, dating from 1959 to 1966, and drawings of panels for the sales office from 1969 and 1970.

There are several groups of drawings of the various tombs at Lanercost Priory, and a number of sheets showing details of carvings. There is one excavation plan showing excavated post-monastic features in the east end of the Priory Church. There are also 121 sheets showing details of mouldings from the Priory.

There is a series of drawings dating from November 1982 relating to the waterproofing of the floor over the undercroft, and a series of elevations of various parts of the undercroft.

There is a topographic survey of the site dating from April 1985, conducted by Plowman Craven and Associates, a photogrammetric survey of Lanercost Priory dating from 1986 - 1993, conducted by TSG Survey Services, and a photogrammetric survey of Dacre Hall, conducted by English Heritage, and dating from 1996 - 1998.

There are also a large number of publication drawings of various aspects of Lanercost Priory, produced by David A B McNay.
