Description

Forty-five sheets of drawings relating to the care, management and presentation of North Leigh Roman Villa. The collection includes: a printed Ordnance Survey map showing the location of the site, 1921; plan of the excavated west wing, 1956; plan of a cottage later used as the custodian's office and its proximity of the baths of the north-west range of the villa, 1960; plan of the villa by D R Wilson, 1970; plan and elevations of a proposed museum, 1970s; plan of the hypocaust in room eight, 1971; plans and text for display panels, 1971 and 1978; elevations of capitals and bases found during excavations, 1973; excavation plans of the baths and north-west range, 1975-1976; plan of the custodian's cottage, 1979; plans, elevations and isometric of an exhibition scheme, 1980; electrical installation plans and schematics for the custodian's office; plan of the custodian's house and mosaic room, 1993; photogrammetric elevations of the north-west range, 2000.
