163 sheets relating to Okehampton Castle, Devon, dating largely from the early twentieth-century through to 2008.
The sheets include maps, plans, sections, details, location plans, sketch plans, measured surveys, measured drawings, sketches, photogrammetric and topographic surveys and rectified photography. There are several drawings from the 1970s and 1980s for Devon Archaeological Society journals.
There are five photogrammetric surveys of the exterior elevation of the south-east wall of the eastern lodgings at Okehampton Castle, surveyed by AMC Ltd in August 1989 for English Heritage.
Nine labelled sheets form a photogrammetric survey of the walls of the chapel, eastern lodgings, priest's lodgings and main gatehouse at the castle, created by the Photogrammetric Unit from the Institute for Advanced Architecture at the University of York between March and May 1990, again for English Heritage.
A total of fourteen topographic surveys of the castle and its surroundings; the original seven sheets surveyed by MJ Rees and Co. Ltd in April 1990 for English Heritage, and then seven amended copies created by Simmons Survey in April to May 1991.
Seventeen labelled sheets of measured drawings concern maintenance and consolidation work carried out in 1994 and 1995, and these sheets were all illustrated by Jo Hibbert for English Heritage.
A total of eleven sheets detail consolidation work carried out on the eastern lodgings, main gatehouse and garderobes during 1996 and 1997.
A group of sheets from the mid-1990s relate to scaffolding design for repairs to part of the Castle.
There are also a number of sheets which relate to designs for a new car park area to serve the castle, and also for a proposed new ticket / sales office. There are also a number of sheets relating to proposed alterations of the custodian's lodge at the site.
