One hundred sheets ranging from 1718 to the late twentieth century, with the majority from the early to late twentieth century.
The earliest sheets consist of a number of plans, elevations and sections of Yarmouth Castle and the town of Yarmouth, dating from 1718 to circa 1760, several of which have been hand tinted, probably at a later date.
There are four sheets of plans of the ground, first and second floors of the castle, dating from the early twentieth century, and showing the measurements for the married soldiers' quarters. There are also plans, sections and elevations from the early twentieth century relating to new windows at the castle.
There are seven sheets dating from the mid twentieth century containing plans, sections and elevations of gun carriages at the castle, some of which include details of the fittings to the gun carriage. There are also several sheets from this period showing plans and elevations for the new entrance doors to the castle. Plans and notes relating to signposting in the castle car park have also been included.
Twenty graph sheets, probably produced by the Department of Environment in the late twentieth century, detail crack movements at Yarmouth Castle between 1979 and 1985, and there are three sheets of plans, elevations and sections relating to strain gauge positions and fractures, dated August 1983. There are also three sheets of plans for electrical installations, dated August 1985, and covering the ground, first and second floors of the castle.
There are five oversize presentation drawings, dating from the 1970s, and showing plans of the Yarmouth Castle site, and the ground, first and second floors of the castle, with a key showing the phases of construction.
