Church of St Peter, Eaton Square, Westminster SW1 - Westminster, City of

A Classical Commissioner’s church designed by Henry Hakewill, completed 1827 and enlarged 1875. It has a pedimented west portico, west end narthex carrying the tower and cupola, and rectangular nave with short transepts. The church was partly destroyed by fire in 1987 and the interior reordered. There has been a fall of plaster from the portico ceiling and the buckled copper roofing to the portico needs replacing. Past cementitious repairs to the tower and cupola are becoming detached so debris netting has been fitted round the tower.
